The best time to fish Galveston bay depends on the fish species you are after.

Fish are most active in the summer months and this is prime time for nearly every species an angler might be after.  Water temperatures are perfect in the early morning hours, and the fish will travel into the shallow areas seeking food until the water warms by midday.

NOVEMBER & december

Flounder fishing is exceptional in the late fall and early winter.  The months of November and December are a great time to fish for flounder as they make their annual migration to nearshore gulf waters and can be found in large numbers in and around passes leading to the Gulf of Mexico.

The months of February & March host the annual Black Drum run in Galveston.  Usually taking place during Spring Break, Black Drum begin schooling along channels as their spawning season kicks into high gear

may & July

May thru July can be absolutely action-packed for Speckled Trout.
